1

Set the Mailchimp trigger as “Subscriber updated”

Add the Mailchimp trigger to initiate your playbook's actions.

To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "Subscriber updated" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Mailchimp. Next, choose an Audience, which, in this case, is "Relay.app Inc." It will enable your playbook to automatically identify newly updated subscribers and trigger necessary actions.

If you have yet to connect your Mailchimp account to Relay, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the “Send message” step in Slack

Integrate the HubSpot automation into your playbook to create a new contact in HubSpot or update an existing one.

Select "Add Step" and find the "Send message" automation for Slack. Then, fill in the relevant details such as the Sender, Destination channel, and message. If you want to add a "human in the loop" intervention, you can do so as well.

If you still need to connect your Slack account to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to send messages through your Slack account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step to automate Mailchimp subscriber updates to Slack without manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we recommend running a test to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
